We know that porous cast iron heats up relatively slowly, but very evenly and can hold the heat for a very long time. Cast iron frying pans are ideal for preparing most dishes that require long heat treatments due to their versatility.
The pan is pre-treated by the manufacturer with rapeseed oil to prevent rusting. Before first use, the pan should be cleaned with hot water and brush and heated on the stove to dry.
Then the pan must be burned several times. A baking instructions are included (English language not guaranteed). After the baking process and with regular use, a natural patina forms on the surface, which protects the pan from rust and has a non-stick effect.
Silicone handle protects your hands from burns and prevents slipping of heavy pans. The handle protection is up to approx. 240°C heat resistant and dishwasher safe. The accessory set is a perfect addition to your BIOL pans.
Removable wooden handle
The wooden handle can be attached in no time and removed if necessary. This means that you can use the pan in the oven, grill or on the open fire.
The closure of the handle is clamped in the slot on the pan and tightened with a few turns in the clockwise direction.
